See New Villains, Superman Pun In New Trailer For The Flash

The Flash might still be on its midseason break (#SadFace), but that hasn’t stopped Cisco Ramon from coming up with new code names for super villains. Not even Dr. Harrison Wells can stop him from doing that.

The latest trailer intended to get us pumped for the second half of the season shows that Cisco is up to his old tricks, mentioning the ongoing villainy of Captain Cold and Reverse-Flash while also christening Heat Wave, who we haven’t seen yet save for one brief off-camera scene. It’s also our first look at Hartley Rathaway (played by Andy Mientus), who apparently dubs himself Pied Piper.
Also in this clip is Britne Oldford, who ComicBook.com has theorized is the teleporting Rogue known as Peek-A-Boo. And while there might not be a Superman in the Arrow-verse, that doesn’t mean Barry Allen can’t reference his famous tag line when he talks about how he’s faster than a speeding bullet. Take that, Clark Kent!
Mostly, what this “Speeding Bullet” trailer does is make me anxious for The Flash to return. That’s still a few weeks away, as he’ll speed back onto The CW on January 20.
