The Flash Finds Its Copycat Trickster
By Nick Tylwalk
Mark Hamill is coming to The Flash later this season in a semi-reprisal of his role from the 1990 series as the Trickster. But the deal is that he’s supposed to be in prison already, and that someone younger is going around committing crimes with his gimmick.

ComicBook.com found out exactly who that’s going to be, revealing the exclusive scoop that Devon Graye will play the copycat Trickster. The 27-year old was the teenage Dexter on the Showtime series of the same name. In fact, that’s pretty much the only thing on his Wikipedia page at the moment.
There’s some precedent for a replacement Trickster that comes straight from Flash comics. Axel Walker, who it appears Graye will be playing, took on the gadgets and identity of Trickster after the original, James Jesse, had a change of heart and started working with the FBI. Jesse’s turn for good paid off memorably in the 1995 DC crossover event Underworld Unleashed, where he was instrumental in figuring out a way to defeat Neron. Meanwhile, Walker was accepted by Flash’s Rogues, though somewhat reluctantly at times.
Look for Daye and Hamill to show up in episode 17 of The Flash, which figures to be sometime in March. The series returns from its winter break on Tuesday, January 20.
