Gotham Star Ben McKenzie To Appear At Wizard World Philadelphia, Chicago
By Nick Tylwalk
James Gordon has it pretty tough on Gotham. He’s up to his neck in crime and corruption, and while he’s a good man, it sometimes seems like his mission to clean up Gotham City is hopeless. If you’ve ever wanted to shake his hand for his dedication, you’ll be able to do that later this year at two Wizard World stops — or at least the hand of the man who plays him, Ben McKenzie.
Wizard World announced that McKenzie will appear for his only two North American autograph and photo op appearances at two of the premier events on its tour: Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia and Wizard World Comic Con Chicago. McKenzie is scheduled to be in Philly on May 9-10 and in the Windy City August 22-23.
“Ben McKenzie is the one of today’s hottest stars on one of the most popular and successful shows on TV,” Wizard World CEO John Macaluso said in a press release. “Our fans have immediately made Gotham one of their favorites and we know they can’t wait to meet him at our two most successful and longest-running Wizard World Comic Cons.”
Wizard World Philadelphia will have extra Gotham flavor, as Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, is also on the guest list.
Full event and ticket information for that show, which sets up shop in the Pennsylvania Convention Center from May 7-10, is available at WizardWorld.com. Wizard World Comic Con Chicago takes place August 20-23 at the Donald E, Stephens Convention Center, with details on guests, programming and tickets available right here.
