This Dark Knight Tumbler Stroller Is Amazing

Bruce Wayne had to wait until he was an adult (and go through some serious personal tragedy, alas) before he ended up with his cool toys. In real life, one lucky kid got a scaled-down version of an unbelievably cool toy: a Dark Knight Tumbler Stroller, otherwise known as a stroller that looks just like the Batmobile from the Christopher Nolan films.

It was created by the team that does Super-Fan Builds on the AWE Me YouTube channel. As you’ll see in the video below, host Alison Haislip introduces us to the Earl family. Wife Maressa discusses her Batman super-fan husband Josh and asks for something related to the Dark Knight that he and son Collin can enjoy together.

With Tim Baker and his team doing the design and fabrication work, the Dark Knight Tumbler Stroller is no joke, looking like it could plow through other strollers like the Batmobile does in the movies. It’s made of PVC armor plates attached to a heavy wall steel square tubing frame.

(Aside: I’m at my laptop pretending I’m handy enough to know exactly what that means.)

After assembling the shell and sanding it down to avoid any sharp edges, the team really goes to town on the details. We’re talking shock absorbers, lights, mirrors, and, of course, a replica of the jet turbine nozzle in the back. Honestly, if you told me they installed a real jet engine, I’d probably believe you.

No one is messing with Collin on the playground or while he and his dad are just out for a walk. He does eat a lollipop in the cockpit, er, seat at the end, so maybe he’ll gunk up the afterburner controls. It’s still amazing, though. Check it out and we think you’ll agree.
