Cory Michael Smith notes that “the riddling” has always been there, that Nygma has been obsessed with riddles since day one. He likes that Nygma is currently “the furthest from being a villain”, though clearly he’s forgetting about one Ivy Pepper, who may be a weird kid, but is probably years away from being a villain while Nygma will most likely be starting to become the Riddler by season 2 of Gotham I’d assume. Smith teases that soon events will unfold that will “lead him to misbehave”, talking a about a “slow burn of doing unfortunate deeds” that will “give him power, of which he has none now.” Cory Michael Smith doesn’t directly answer the question of if we’ll ever see him in the Riddler’s famous get up though.
