What would you do if you only had a short time left to live? Or even worse, if the whole world as you know it was coming to an end?

It’s something that’s been explored in comics before — even in major super hero lines, like during DC’s The Final Night event during the 90s — but it’s not a concept that the Marvel Universe has really had to worry about. The good guys always win in the end.
That won’t be the case during Secret Wars, where Marvel has been very clear about the fact that the heroes will fail to save the Marvel Earth and its Ultimate Universe counterpart. With that in mind, the company introduced “Last Days,” one of three different brandings that will run on Marvel titles as they begin facing the coming of Battleworld and the end of everything they’ve known up until now.
“What would you do if you learned today was your last day on Earth?” Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in a press release. “That’s the question your favorite Marvel heroes are going to ask themselves in their LAST DAYS story lines as they brace for Secret Wars and the end of the Marvel Universe.”
Look for some of your favorite Marvel series to sport the Last Days banner, which will tip you off to stories that reveal how certain characters are spending their precious remaining time and what secrets might come to light so close to the end.
