Gotham: Anthony Carrigan talks Victor Zsasz
Anothony Carrigan plays Victor Zsasz, a mob killer with a particularly violent side that likes to carve the number of people he has killed into his body on Gotham on Fox! Recently, Carrigan talked with DC Comics.com about his character.

Given that Victor Zsasz is a little more obscure, did Carrigan know much about him before taking on the role?
"I actually knew a fair amount about Victor. I’d seen him here and there in the comics. I also play video games and remember seeing him while playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and just being kind of creeped out by him. So I definitely had an idea of who he was when I first got called in. That really helped."
The most interesting thing about the interview is how Carrigan interprets Zsasz’s motives. He thinks Zsasz is basically training. That with each kill and each mark on his body, he becomes stronger. And assuming Gotham last long enough, we might see him take on Batman.
"The way I see Victor is that he’s tough. With each tally mark, he becomes stronger in my opinion. So he’s readying himself to go against the Caped Crusader. This is all just practice."
Well let’s hope Gotham lasts that long. So be sure to keep watching Gotham on Fox and see Carrigan as Zsasz racking up that body count with sadistic glee.
