Spider-Verse: In Requiem: Part 3 – 2099 Alts
Following on from Part One of our ‘In Requiem’ series which featured Iron Spider, House of M Spider-Man and others and Part Two which focuses on Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, here’s an in depth look at the next Spideys that died in the Spider-Verse. This time from the universe of 2099.
Destiny War Spider-Man:
During the event Avengers Forever, an alternate Miguel O’Hara was a member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes along with Captain America, Wolverine, and Genis-Vell. He was murdered by Morlun and Genis was seriously injured.
Recommended Reading: he only appeared briefly in Avengers Forever, no significant appearances of this Spider-Man
Timestorm Spider-Man:
This version of Miguel O’Hara was a highschooler who was given spider powers when he was studying genetically altered insects and arachnids during a freak “timestorm”. He gains powers like super strength, wall-crawling and web-shooting. Unlike most versions of 2099, he does not possess talons. He created a costume using a 3-D printer and became Spider-Man of a significantly different 2099. In this one Wolverine was still alive, Kron Stone is the Scorpion instead of Venom, and the Human Torch is an Atlantian Mutant as opposed to a clone of Johhny Storm. Perhaps the most striking difference however, is Miguel’s relationship with his father. George O’Hara is actually his father and a good one, instead of Miguel secretly being the child of Tyler Stone, and George having an abusive relationship with Miguel’s mother.

Exiles Spider-Man: (Earth-6375)
In an alternate version of 2099, the dimension-hopping X-Men villain Proteus unmasked Miguel in a public manner. With his identity exposed, he joins the interdimensional superhero team, until he ends up in a universe where he falls in love with Mary-Jane Watson.
