Man Has Surgery To Look Like Red Skull

I honestly thought hard about whether to file this under our “Fashion” or “Cosplay” categories, but it’s kind of too weird for either one. So news it is. And kids, please don’t try this at home: a Venezuelan man has used a combination of tattoos and subdermal implants — along with having part of his nose cut off — to make himself look like the Red Skull.

Yes, you read that right. That’s his picture up above, and the best/worst part is, he’s not done yet.

In case you’re wondering what kind of doctor would help 37-year old Henry Damon turn himself into a living version of a comic book super villain, the answer is “no doctor.” The person who’s aiding him in his transformation is a medical school dropout named Emilio Gonzalez.

Sounds kind of dangerous letting someone who didn’t even finish their medical training implant things under your skin, no? But since the Daily Mail says Gonzalez gave him psychological tests beforehand, I guess it’s all good.

Safety issues aside, I have to ask: what does it say about a person when his dream is to look exactly like a villain known for being a racist, murderous, megalomaniac?

Getting back to the whole cosplay thing, once Damon finishes this project by having silicon implants in his cheeks and having the rest of his face tattooed red, he should win every contest, every time. So I guess there’s that.
