Yes, as the title hypothesises; what do Spider-Man and Sailor Moon have in common? Well, they’re names are both made from the initials ‘S’ and ‘M’ but that’s pretty much all I’ve got. However Theodore Jefferson from The Mary Sue suggests that the two have something else in common – A shared enemy.

Before you start rummaging through your back-issues of Spider-Man trying to find the Makaiju, or Queen Beryl, squaring off against the Web-Slinger, or start going through Sailor Moon episodes looking for Green Goblin, or Doctor Octopus, just stop! The shared enemy isn’t a character but instead it’s licensing rights!
