Cutest Comics Collectibles Ever? Meet Dorbz
By Nick Tylwalk
I know what you’re thinking. Funko’s Pop! Vinyl figures are already plenty cute. You’re not sure if you have room in your heart on in your collectibles budget for anything cuter than them.
I beg to differ, because during IGN’s visit to the Funko booth at Toy Fair, it found Dorbz. Produced by a separate label of Funko called Vinyl Sugar, these look absolutely amazing. For one thing, Funko obviously has both Marvel and DC licenses for this line. On top of that, they’re so freaking happy! Seriously, even the Dorbz of bad guys are smiling.
No word on price points or release date information, but it does appear from some of the other photos and press releases floating around that there will be two scales of Dorbz. Make sure you hit the original IGN piece for more pics, including the X-Men and more Guardians of the Galaxy. At this point, it might be easier to just have a portion of your paycheck direct deposited to Funko, since that’s where it’s likely to end up anyway.
Oh, and the Urban Dictionary says that “dorbz” is slang for adorable or extremely adorable, and I’d say these qualify.
