Marc Webb no longer directing Spider-Man movies
By Daniel Wood
It seems abundantly clear that two-time Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb will be joining Andrew Garfield as he walks out of the door, never to have anything to do with Sony’s Spider-Man franchise again.
Like Andrew Garfield, Marc Webb was signed on to be involved in three Spider-Man movies, making a trilogy with Amazing Spider-Man 3 being his last film. However the deal between Marvel and Sony allowing Spider-Man to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to have finally put an end to Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Which consequently means that it’s also put an end to Marc Webb. As confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter
"“director Marc Webb will not be back to complete a third Spider-Man (the studio originally envisioned its Amazing Spider-Man oeuvre as a trilogy with Webb and Garfield aboard for all three).”"
Quite a few people didn’t like Marc Webb but I really liked him. I thought he did a great job with the Amazing Spider-Man films and its fairly obvious that the problems both films had came from elsewhere.
The question is now though, who will they get to replace him?
