Three More Join AKA Jessica Jones Cast
By Nick Tylwalk
We know who’s playing the main roles on Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series AKA Jessica Jones, but now the supporting cast is rounding into shape as well.
Marvel revealed the following three additions to the ensemble today:
- Eka Darville as Malcolm, Jessica’s neighbor, and someone whose life will “intertwine” with Jessica’s. Comic Book Resources suggests this could be Malcolm Powder, a Brian Michael Bendis creation who aided Jones in the Alias comics.
- Erin Moriarity as Hope, who will be one of Jones’ clients.
- Wil Traval as an as yet unnamed NYPD officer.
They’ll join Krysten Ritter in the title role and Mike Colter as Luke Cage, as well as the previously announced David Tennant as Kilgrave (likely some take on the Purple Man from Marvel Comics) and Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper. It’s a pretty experienced cast as a whole, proof that Marvel is ensuring that all of its Netflix series get plenty of talent. All that’s really missing from this group is more villains, but those will probably come in time.
No release date has been announced yet for AKA Jessica Jones. All that’s known at this point is that it will be the second Marvel series to premiere on Netflix, following Daredevil, which hits us with all 13 of its episodes on April 10.
