A Supaidaman solo series could happen!
By Daniel Wood
There’s no denying that Spider-Gwen had the most impact as a new character in the Spider-Verse, heck, she now has her own solo series to prove it! However I think the second placed character is also cut and dry. There’s absolutely no denying the impact that Supaidaman’s appearance had when he arrived with Leopardon in tow to take on Solus.
The internet blew up with Leopardon pictures everywhere! I’m sure that Supaidaman gained many, many fans that day, all of which would be absolutely blown away if there were to ever be a solo comic series dedicated purely to 70’s Television Spider-Man Supaidaman and his trusty Mega-Zord-esque companion! But that will never happen right?
Wrong! Marvel’s Tom Brevoort, who has a hand in making such decisions was asked whether or not there’d ever be a Supaidaman solo title and this was his, oh-so-full-of-hope, response!
"“If there was the same sort of demand for it, you better believe it. I’d do a Supaidaman book in a red-hot minute.”"
So Spider-Fans if you want to see “Supaidaman and his wacky adventures with Leopardon” (Pending Title!) on the shelves of your local comic book store then get Tweeting, Facebooking, letter-writing, protesting and eventually Marvel might buckle and actually do it!
You can make it happen because in the age of comic book diversity there just aren’t enough comic books featuring comical television based 70’s Japanese super heroes with giant robot and motocross skills these days!
