Batman & 50 Shades Of Grey Mashup Better Than You’d Think
A wealthy billionaire with a leather fetish and a life he keeps secret from all but a chosen few. Sure, I am probably describing 50 Shades of Grey, the hit movie in theatres right now based on the best-selling novel. But hey, that description also fits the tale of a more heroic billionaire, one Bruce Wayne aka Batman. Granted, that is where the similarities end, but it’s enough to make one think of either movie based on that description.

With that in mind, YouTube user Josh Meeter has created a mashup of Batman (various clips from the Dark Knight Trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman) and 50 Shades of Grey after having the plot of 50 shades described to him by his wife. It’s called “50 Shades of Wayne”, and as far as mashups go, it works surprisingly well:
I’m sure plenty of Batman fans will cry foul on this, after all, Bruce Wayne is saving a city. Christian Grey is doing a disservice to healthy consensual relationships everywhere and it’s literally birthed from Twilight fan fiction. Still, the similarities are kinda striking… I’ll let you guys be the judge and give your thoughts in the comments below. 50 Shades of Grey is in theaters now and we’ll next see Bruce Wayne/Batman of course in Batman v. Superman next March.
