Dylan O’Brien confirmed as new Spider-Man … by Reddit
By Daniel Wood
Okay folks it’s time once again to jump onto the ‘Reddit leaker’ carousel and take a hearty spin. Perhaps we’ll end up at the truth or more than likely we’ll end up with a deep-seated feeling of nausea and the inability to co-ordinate your legs and eyes for a few minutes. I hope you’ve got some pinches of salt on the ready, I hear they’re super-great at curing rumour-sickness.
A source on Reddit posted this post 22 hours ago
"So Dylan O’Brien is pretty much our new Spidey from the look of things. A source tells me he gave Sony the audition of his life, who by the way, absolutely loved what they saw from him. Amy Pascal and team knew they had their Spider-Man.Sony apparently started leaning towards O’Brien over Lerman when they figured Dylan had a better grasp and feel of the tone they were going for.Mind you, anything could happen from now until the official announcement, which if not on March 5th, (unlikely) then somewhere in mid-March to early-April.But nonetheless, there is a tremendously high chance, like a 99.9% percent chance, this will end up becoming official. There’s more info down below in the comments, see if you please."
As you can see the source on Reddit called Redditleaker23456 has stated that Dylan O’Brien absolutely nailed his audition and actually beat-out other front-runner Logan Lerman to the punch. The leaker adds that Spidey’s casting will not be announced on March 5th and that he’s definitely not making any of this up! He later adds
"Update: It is official, Dylan has signed on as the new webhead!"
Pretty confident right? The thing is that this particularly Reddit leaker, of which there have been many, also leaked information on Sony and Marvel coming to a deal before it had happened. As we all know they were eventually proven right when Marvel made the big announcement. So whilst this in all probability rubbish, it could also be true! Feeling dizzy yet?
