Is Damian Wayne Coming To Arrow?

We all know the gang over at Arrow is a big fan of crossovers and really would like the world of Batman to cross over with Arrow in some fashion. Having Ra’s Al Ghul as a major villain sort of accomplishes that, but the people over at TV Line theorize that we could be seeing another major Batman character as an adversary of Oliver Queen pretty soon.

During a recent “spoiler” Q & A Michael Aussiello of TV Line theorized that Arrow may be introducing none other than Damian Wayne at the end of the current season:

"The show’s Season 3 finale will introduce a major, formidable, fierce new foe for Oliver, and his reign of terror will continue well into Season 4. The mysterious character is being referred to internally as “Damian Dark,” which got Matt Mitovich and I (but mostly MM) pulling up and skimming the Wiki page of one Damian Wayne. Get it? Damian Wayne. Son of the Dark Knight. They’d probably have to tweak the Bruce Wayne connection, but it’s a plausible theory, no?"

How plausible this theory is probably depends on how flexible WB is being. Sure they have plans for Batman and they don’t really want Bruce Wayne on Arrow, but if they have no real plans for Damian Wayne? Sure, why not. And it doesn’t even really have to be Damian Wayne in name, just a character who clearly is Damian Wayne. They’ve pretty much turned Arrow into Batman, with Ra’s Al Ghul even asking him to take over the League of Assassins in the last episode. I won’t keep my hopes up, but it would be pretty damn awesome to see Damian Wayne as a major adversary for Arrow.
