There have also been some reports of the film being developed that I’m going to say here. SPOILER ALERT. Also, Another rumor claims that Commissioner Gordon is dead even before Batman v Superman starts and that Ellen Yindel is the current commissioner of Gotham City.

Here are my thoughts on how the Batman solo movie in the DC Cinematic Universe can be made, rumors aside.

The Batman solo movie and possible sequels to it can be made taking inspiration from the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham video-games by Rocksteady Studios. It offers rich storylines and also features a dark atmosphere that is perfect for the tone of the DC Cinematic Universe(Also, Ben Affleck looks exactly like the Batman from the Arkham games).

It would be quite simple to carry this process forward, even simpler if Suicide Squad was based on last year’s Assault On Arkham. It could set up the ground for a Batman Arkham Asylum movie based on the video-game. From then on, the possible sequels can be Batman Arkham City and Batman Arkham Knight, all based  video-games of the same names from Rocksteady Studios. Of course, certain modifications need to be done to perfect it so that it sets to the DC Cinematic Universe, but with the right scripts, the movies could be made to perfection. Keep reading for some more about Batman Arkham video-games.

Batman Arkham Asylum is a video-game from Rocksteady Studios, released in 2009. It was written by Emmy award winner Paul Dini(famous for his work in the DC Animated Universe). It features voice cast from the DC Animated Universe Kevin Conroy(Batman) Mark Hamill(Joker) and Arleen Sorkin(Harley Quinn). The game’s plot is as follows – Batman stops The Joker from destroying Gotham’s City Hall, and brings him back to Arkham Asylum. But all hell breaks loose as Joker is set free and takes control of the asylum. Batman needs to stop The Joker and other villains(It also features Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy among other rogues) he set free before it is too late.

Batman Arkham City is the sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum, released in 2011. It was also written by Paul Dini, featuring the voice talent of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker. The game’s events take place one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. Old Gotham has been reconstructed into Arkham City, an open world prison where criminals create chaos on the streets by the mysterious Professor Hugo Strange. Batman has to find a way to stop Strange and his devious tricks but finds that there is a bigger conspiracy at hand. It also features new villains not appearing in Arkham Aslyum such as Penguin and Mister Freeze.

Batman Arkham Knight is the sequel to Batman Arkham City and is set to release in 2015.It takes place one year after the tragic events of Arkham City(I would rather not say the events). Due to a major event that happened in the previous game, several villains(Scarecrow, Two-Face among others) team-up to take down The Dark Knight once and for all. Batman being at the peak of his potential must protect himself and his beloved city from turning into rubble and for this he plays a big trump card, The Batmobile.

I have not included Batman Arkham Origins because it deals with a young Batman contrary to Ben Affleck’s portrayal of an old, grizzly Batman.
