Agents Of SHIELD Season 2, Episode 12 Synopsis: Who You Really Are
By Nick Tylwalk
Whether you liked it or not, you certainly couldn’t say that Agents of SHIELD eased back into things with its first new episode following the show’s winter break.

Last week, we saw a high body count, plenty of surprises, a fun trap that SHIELD set for Hydra, and more confirmation on exactly what happened to Skye and Raina. It doesn’t sound like the series will be letting off the gas in this week’s new episode, “Who You Really Are,” a title that might have a double meaning due to an amnesic ally making her return.
Here’s what Marvel had to say in its official synopsis:
"Coulson and team come to the aid of a confused Lady Sif, who has lost her memory after fighting with a mysterious warrior whose true mission will send shockwaves through S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, Bobbi and MacK continue to hide their true mission from everyone close to them, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, March 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network."
The Morse and Mack thing continues to be the show’s most interesting subplot to me, despite it receiving what can only be considered a slow burn. It was very obvious that Bobbi wasn’t telling Lance Hunter the entire truth about it last week — possibly obvious to Lance, too. I don’t really think Mockingbird is working for Hydra or anything like that, so I’m prepared to be surprised when her true motives are revealed, which should be in a few weeks if upcoming synopses are any indication.
As for Sif, she’s always welcome back on Agents of SHIELD as far as this viewer is concerned, but I’m anxious to see if the team utilizes her knowledge of the Inhumans to get more of a handle on what’s going on, as has been suggested in interviews over the last few weeks. The Asgardians have presumably been dealing with other races and observing unusual events on Midgard for centuries, so you would think Sif could at least point Phil Coulson and company in the direction of the truth.
(So, too, could Thor, but that’s a topic for another time.)
Set an hour aside for “Who You Really Are” Tuesday night on ABC, and be sure to join us Wednesday morning for Christina Roberts’ full recap and review. Also, don’t miss the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. After Show from theStream.tv, where the hosts will break down all of the action shortly after we see it.
