Don’t Expect To See Harley Quinn On Arrow Again
Despite supposedly not being able to crossover with Batman, the TV show Arrow has already borrowed a lot of elements from that show (most notably Ra’s Al Ghul as a primary villain when he is definitely more of a Batman adversary). One very early easter egg was the appearance of Harley Quinn in season 2, even though she wasn’t actually mentioned by name, it was clearly Harley Quinn in that cell and A.R.G.U.S. shirt. It makes sense, Harley is a major recurring member of the Suicide Squad, and even with a movie coming out, the Squad is still featuring heavily on Arrow. Unfortunately, that may very well be the only time we ever see Harley Quinn on Arrow.

Arrow co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim mentioned at a recent comics expo that the quick cameo of Harley Quinn is all you are likely to get on Arrow. Of course the upcoming Suicide Squad film with Margot Robbie in the role is a big reason, but they also mentioned Gotham, suggesting that there might be plans for her to appear on the show sometime soon. There’s certainly a lot of uncharted territory as far as Harleen Quinzel before she studied the Joker and became obsessed with him, so it’s easy to see a show like Gotham could show her before that time. We’ll just have to wait and see.
