Robin Lord Taylor Wants Danny Devito To Play His Dad
Robin Lord Taylor plays the Penguin on the hit TV show Gotham. And of course he’s not the first to play The Penguin. In fact, he’s a huge fan of Danny Devito’s performance as The Penguin in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns. Turns out Danny Devito is a big fan of Robin Lord Taylor’s take on the character as well, and while talking with Digital Spy, he was asked if he’d want to have Danny Devito on the show.

"Oh! I would love it to happen – I mentioned it before… ‘Can he be my Dad or something? Can we introduce that?’ and the writers said, ‘Yeah OK… let’s just get through the first season!’ – but anything… if he could come on the show, it would just be… God, such a dream.Carol Kane plays my Mom and then to have Danny on too… let’s just work our way through the whole cast of Taxi… let’s bring on Judd Hirsch, Marilu Henner – let’s bring ’em all on!"
It would be a wonderful bit of meta casting, and I’m pretty sure Danny Devito wouldn’t scoff completely at the idea.
