The Flash Synopsis – Season 1, Episode 15: Out Of Time
By Nick Tylwalk
Is it just me, or does every multi-week break in the freshman season of The Flash seem to last forever?

It’s torturous, but also a good sign of quality if fans are waiting impatiently for new episodes to return. The Flash is finally back this week, and time travel appears to be on the menu in “Out of Time.”
We’ve already seen Barry Allen come to terms with the idea that he somehow will end up on the scene on the night of his mother’s murder, and Professor Stein more or less confirmed that time travel was possible. Yet it seems increasingly likely that the Reverse-Flash has already figured out how to move through time, and all that remains is for others to suspect that truth as well.
This could be the week where things start to unravel for Harrison Wells, though Team Flash will also be busy with a new version of an old foe. Take a look at the official synopsis for “Out of Time” from The CW:
"Mark Mardon, a.k.a. The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde’s death, and sets his sights on Joe (Jesse L. Martin), who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry (Grant Gustin), Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn’t listen and ends up in grave danger. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton). Thor Freudenthal directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing."
As a longtime Flash fan, I’m happy to see Mark Mardon as Weather Wizard, getting things closer to the comics. In fact, I’m liking everything I’ve seen or read about this week’s episode except for the double date, but I’m trying to keep in mind that the Barry-Iris-Linda love triangle is a draw for people who enjoy the soap opera aspects of the DC shows on The CW.
In any case, it’s just good to have The Flash back for what should be an entertaining stretch run. Tune in Tuesday night at 8 pm on The CW for this latest batch of super-speed goodness, join us back here for the recap about 20-30 minutes later, and don’t forget to check out The Flash After Show from theStream.tv, where hosts Dylan Landon, Devon Stewart, Lauren Mayhew and Jack Hind are no doubt chomping at the bit to get back to talking about the Fastest Man Alive. Tweet them with the hashtag #TheFlashAS to get in on the discussion.
