The still nameless Arrow/The Flash spinoff show that is being batted around for early next year is getting another character we’ve seen on TV this season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominic Purcell will join the cast, which is already supposed to feature Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz.
Purcell plays Mick Rory, also know as Heat Wave, one of the Flash’s Rogues. Since Miller is Captain Cold, that puts at least two villains in the cast, leading one to wonder if the Rogues have a slight change of heart — and they’ve been known to cooperate with heroes from time to time against greater evils — or if multiple super-powered criminals is the problem that necessitates a bunch of heroes teaming up in the first place.
Having already featured together on Prison Break and in multiple episodes of The Flash, Purcell and Miller must really enjoy working together. THR describes their parts as series regulars on the spinoff, so they’re going to continue to share a bond, or so it would seem.
