Though it wasn’t intentional, the Flash ended up running so fast trying to save Central City from the new Weather Wizard that he broke the time barrier, ending up jumping back just a tad into the past. Maybe that’s a good thing since the present seemed pretty messed up, what with Reverse-Flash killing Cisco Ramon and all.
Maybe that should be the old present, as it appears Barry is going to try mucking with time. Plus, he’s got other problems to worry about, as some of his old enemies are back with new help. Check out the official synopsis for “Rogue Time” from The CW:
"The Flash (Grant Gustin) learns that Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (guest star Dominic Purcell) have returned to Central City. This time Snart has brought along his baby sister Lisa (guest star Peyton List) to help wreak havoc on the city. John Behring directed the episode with story by Grainne Godfree and teleplay by Brooke Eikmeier & Kai Yu Wu (#116)."
In the comics, Lisa Snart isn’t just Captain Cold’s sister, but a super villain in her own right. Scratch that, she’s not just a villain, but one of the silliest of the Flash’s Silver Age foes. As the Golden Glider, Lisa used her Olympic figure skating prowess and experimental skates that created their own ice so she could skate anywhere, including through the sky. Yes, it’s as goofy as it sounds.
The New 52 version of Lisa is simply called Glider, and while she’s not as ridiculous, she’s also not as distinctive; a sort of intangible phantom that can also cause sharp force trauma when desired. My guess is that on TV, she won’t follow the script for either of her print counterparts exactly, but I wouldn’t be shocked if she ends up getting some sort of powers by the end of the episode.
In any case, fans should be looking forward to this one after the shocking last 15 minutes of the previous episode.
