The Walking Dead Comics On Sale At Comixology
By Nick Tylwalk
Right before the season finale of The Walking Dead is probably a really good time to put the comics on sale, right? We think so too.
More importantly, Comixology thinks so, since they’re the ones selling The Walking Dead in digital form. Right now, you can find both individual issues and trades on sale. But kind of like when a herd of walkers is coming at you, there’s some urgency involved, because the sale is only until 11 pm Eastern time on March 30 (or through some store portals, until 11 pm local time).
Headlining the sale are two compendium bundles which offer 48 issues each for just $39.99. Math isn’t even my strong suit and I can tell you that it’s less than a buck an issue at that price.
You’ll also find 22 collected volumes marked down to just $5.99, most of them typically going for $14.99. The very first volume of The Walking Dead is only $4.99 if you need to start from the very beginning. Spoiler: the dead come back to life as zombies.
Last but certainly not least, you can grab The Walking Dead #1 for free, while every other single issue up to #132 is just 99 cents apiece. You were going to watch the finale anyway, but if you’ve always wanted to be one of those smart alecs who is going on about differences between the comic and the TV series, now’s your most affordable chance ever.
Remember what we said up top, though: the sale is good only through Monday night, and then it’s gone. You’ll need some way to get your Rick fix through the TV offseason, so you might as well fill your mobile device of choice with digital comics. There might not be a better time than this.
