SNL: Michael Keaton Became Batman! Sort Of…

Michael Keaton hosted last night’s episode of SNL, and they kept the Batman jokes to a minimum. Whether that’s a good or bad thing probably depends on your point of view…

In fact, Batman was really only referenced in the opening monologue, where SNL stars Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan tell Michael Keaton what big fans they are of his and try to get him to reprise not only Batman, but Beetlejuice, arguably his other biggest role from the earlier days of his career (and both directed by Tim Burton). Michael Keaton’s reluctance to play along doesn’t really seem to get in the way though, as they’ve already dressed as Joker & Penguin (and Delia and Otho from Beetlejuice for that matter) and filmed scenes. Again, that was really the only reference to Batman in this episode of SNL, but overall reviews seem to point to it as a pretty good episode, so check out the rest of the skits when you get the chance.
