Spider-Fans rejoice because everything is coming together. First Spider-Man joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then the Russo Brothers sign a deal with Sony Pictures, who own the rights to Spider-Man still and finally the Russo’s are confirmed (by Marvel) as the Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2 co-directors, which can only mean great things for our Webhead!
You may be wondering why this news is good for Spider-Man? Well, the Russo brothers seem to have a keen interest in Spidey with the Sony hack revealing that the Russo’s themselves offered to produce Sony’s next Spider-Man movie
Then there’s that deal they’ve signed with Sony that, in hindsight, could be an attempt by the brothers to get involved in the Spider-Man franchise. Whilst they appear to have a scheduling conflict with the 2017 release date for the Spider-Man film they might still have an involvement yet.
Fingers crossed!
