Avengers: Age Of Ultron Spider-Man Post-Credits Scene Is Fake, Still Pretty Awesome
By Nick Tylwalk
Maybe you’ve seen it already. The supposedly leaked Avengers: Age of Ultron post-credits scene with Spider-Man, that is, the one where he tells a window washer he missed a spot.
Not ringing any bells? Well, we aim to please, so here it is.
The consensus was that it was a fake, albeit a clever one, as soon as it first hit the internets. Still, conspiracy theories are like powerful drugs, and some people enjoyed the idea that it was real, with Joss Whedon and Kevin Fiege only saying there was no post-credits scene in order to keep it a surprise.
Well, if Whedon is lying in the name of art, he’s really committed to it. Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool reports that Whedon was asked about the scene during the Age of Ultron presser prior to the London premiere and that he stuck to his guns.
So no Spider-Man, and no post-credits scene of any type, according to the guy who directed the film. But admit it, you’re going to stick around until the very end of the Age of Ultron credits anyway. You know, just in case.
