It looks like the Man Without Fear has made enough of an impact in 11 days of release that Marvel and Netflix both want to serve up more Daredevil.

Marvel announced today that Netflix has ordered a second season of Daredevil, which will be available sometime in 2016. Interestingly, the announcement makes it sound like we could see Season 2 of this show before Iron Fist and Defenders, which certainly wasn’t the original plan. Success can change plans, though, and with both fans and critics praising the first Marvel Netflix offering, it makes sense to strike while the iron is hot.
Stven DeKnight, the showrunner for the first 13 episodes, won’t return. He cited prior commitments as his reason for being unable to continue on into Season 2, but he also expressed confidence in the men replacing him, Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez.
“I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch,” DeKnight said to Marvel.com. “They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”
As you know if you finished the first season, it ends with no real cliffhangers, giving the writers and producers free reign to cook up an entirely new story. Up for another 13 episodes of Matt Murdock in action? I know we are.
