The Hulk’s Evolving Powers and Abilities
The Hulk has an amazing ability to not only heal, but regenerate. In The Incredible Hulk #398 (October 1992) and The Incredible Hulk #460 (January 1998), he was able to recover from the destruction of his overall body. So there’s no question that the Hulk has a long lifespan, and may even be somewhat immortal.
In The Incredible Hulk #440 (April 1996) and World War Hulk #5 (January 2008), he had to ability to run at superhuman speed.
In Onslaught: Marvel #1 (October 1996), it was learned that the Hulk’s limitations maybe due to Bruce Banner internally holding him back. Jean Grey put this to the test when she silenced Banner and the Hulk became powerful enough to destroy the villain Onslaught.
In The Incredible Hulk #33 (December 2001) and The Incredible Hulk #254 (December 1980), the Hulk was shown to leap into lower Earth orbit and across continents — basically brute-forced flight.
In The Incredible Hulk #109 (October 2007), he is shown to possess limitless strength. The current state of that strength depends on his current anger level. The age-old mantra has always been, “The angrier the Hulk gets, the stronger the Hulk gets.”
In World War Hulk #5 (January 2008), Deadpool #37 (July 2011), Fantastic Four #533 (January 2006), and The Incredible Hulk #105 (June 2007), he was shown to not only survive, but withstand nuclear explosions.
