Marvel aren’t killing off Amazing Spider-Man again!

The Marvel comic people keep saying that Secret Wars is going to ‘change everything forever’ and that they’re taking ‘huge risks’ and that ‘some people might not like it’. However the fact that Miles Morales is starring in a new title called the ‘All New, All-Different Avengers’ which is set after Secret Wars and not Peter Parker’s Spider-Man has led some people to believe that Amazing Spidey might not make it through the event.

Now this would undoubtedly be an incredibly bold move. Killing off Amazing Spider-Man’s Peter Parker so soon after he’s returned from being Superior Spider-Man (inhabited by Doctor Octopus) would be one hell of a gut-punch and quite the statement.

More importantly Marvel could probably get away with it as they’ve got an abundance of Spider-People to take his place. There’s Silk, Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Girl (now Woman), Ultimate Black Widow, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-UK, 616 Spider-Girl, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Spider-Punk and Spider-Man India to name just a handful.

However IGN have reported (Via Newsarama) the news that is causing us all to breath a collective sigh of relief as Marvel Comics talent scout C.B. Cebulski clarified that despite Miles Morales being part of the main universe, Peter Parker wasn’t going anywhere.

Of course the question remains who will be the main Amazing Spider-Man after Secret Wars and who will have to change their name?
