Cosplayers Bust Out Age Of Ultron/Bruno Mars Mash-Up “Ultron Funk”
By Nick Tylwalk
Avengers: Age of Ultron has all the action, special effects and drama anyone could ask for, but there’s one thing it could still use more of: pure, unadulterated funk.
At least cosplayers and YouTube video artists Chad Nikolaus and Angie Griffin think so. Assembling (pun intended) a few of their friends, the couple produced the “Ultron Funk” video that you can see below. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, in that it’s a parody of the awesome Bruno Mars song “Uptown Funk.” Even better, my kids can clearly understand that they’re saying “Hulk smash” during the chorus instead of guessing that it’s “hot bench” in the real song.
The video actually incorporates bits from The Avengers and Age of Ultron as it goes, and you have to admire the attention to detail Nikolaus and Griffin put into the backgrounds and the dance moves. Surely you’ve never seen a super villain that wants to wipe out the entire human race get down like this.
Chad and Angie are no strangers to this, getting 7 million views for their “Avengers Assemble” video, which was a One Direction parody. With two more Avengers installments set for 2018 and 2019, at least they don’t have to worry about running out of material to adapt!
So without further ado, we invite you to enjoy “Ultron Funk.” And if you find yourself dancing along, it might just be the funk, or it could be Ultron controlling your mind. You can be the judge.
