The Avengers Assemble … Again
The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens with one of the most exciting battle scenes ever filmed for a comic book movie. It also showcases how far the Avengers have come as a team. The five are tuned into each other better than a Swiss watch’s individual parts.
The team dynamically switches back and forth from cooperative attacks to doing individual fights in their own way: Iron Man firing his repulsors; Captain America boomeranging his shield; Thor adeptly swinging Mjolnir; Black Widow speeding in a jeep with Hawkeye perched on the back and never missing with his arrows; and Hulk “smashing.”
However, the most dramatic moment comes when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes jump over a barricade in slow-motion and we see them as powerful and courageous as ever.
