“Megan Fox Seeks To Ruin Sailor Moon Legacy”

Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) is one of the most popular anime series of all time.

The series has profited from several anime films and toys galore. It also did very well as a re-dubbed American TV show in the late 1990s. Fast forward to 2013, and Sailor Moon has received a well deserved reboot, and is now back on television soaring to new heights.

Japan has produced several live action Sailor Moon films, but nothing on a much larger scale. It seems like there was interest in an American live action adaptation back in the the 1990s, but the project never came to fruition. That could all change if Megan Fox gets her way. Word on the street is that Fox is up to the challenge of bringing Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts to life on the Hollywood big screen

According to Kpopstarz website, Fox had this to say about about Sailor Moon:

"That could feasibly be made into a live action movie, I don’t know how many Americans were into that. I was into that, but I don’t know how huge it was here."

I guess her failure of a performance in TMNT (2014) was not the comeback she was expecting. How could she not gauge the popularity of Sailor Moon in America? My goodness, doesn’t she realize that Sailor Moon lead the resurgence of interest in anime in the 90s? American anime adaptations are notorious for financial failure at the box office, so what is she thinking? A most beloved anime starring Megan Fox would be a financial waste. She is also too old.

Look, Megan Fox is the exact opposite of everything Sailor Moon and the scouts represent. I hope this is just fantasy and not something she is seriously considering. Then again, she always has Michael Bay to back her up.
