Why Does Batman Get Top Billing In Batman v Superman?
Well, why isn’t it called Superman v Batman? Superman is arguably DC’s most recognizable character, and one of their earliest, pre-dating Batman by nearly a year.

Of course, the answer for why it’s Batman v Superman instead of the other way around is “BECAUSE HE’S THE GODDANED BATMAN”!. Batman certainly has a better movie track record than Superman (in recent years especially).
In the video below by Cartoon Hooligans, Superman and Batman have a discussion about the title of Batman v Superman. And it gets really immature pretty quickly. And then Thanos shows up because why not… (really? Thanos and not Darkseid?)
In all honesty whoever gets top billing should pretty much be the star of the film, And seeing as this is the film that introduces Batman to the DC cinematic universe, he probably should be the focus. Look for Superman v… er I mean BATMAN v Superman in theaters March 25th, 2016.
