Daredevil: Could Jason Statham Be Bullseye In Season 2?
By Nick Tylwalk
Here’s a cool rumor to get you excited for Season 2 of Daredevil on Netflix: how about a bona fide action movie star playing one of Matt Murdock’s most bitter and enduring enemies?

That’s what Latino Review is saying could happen. That site’s Kellvin Chavez posted last night saying Marvel is pursuing Jason Statham to play Bullseye for the show’s next season, which is expected on Netflix around April of 2016. He also name drops several other Marvel villains, including Mr. Fear and Mysterio, as well as stating that Elektra will appear — something I’m guessing more Daredevil fans already assume will happen.
Statham should need no introduction, as he’s made a very nice living for himself in franchises like The Transporter and The Expendables, as well as a villainous turn in the blockbuster Furious Seven. I’m not certain most people think of him as having the same kind of acting chops that Vincent D’Onofrio brought to his role as Wilson Fisk in Season 1 of Daredevil, but he’s arguably an even bigger name among mainstream fans, and getting him to do TV would be a bit of a coup.
If nothing else, he’ll help erase the hammy Colin Farrell portrayal of Bullseye in the 2003 Daredevil film. The psychotic assassin and master of all thrown weapons (and objects, and pretty much everything, really) would be a very popular addition to the series, and his story is so tied up with that of Elektra that it would be hard to imagine having one and not the other.
This stays strictly in the rumor category until Marvel confirms it or announces someone else as Bullseye, but it’s definitely an exciting prospect.
