I know, we all want to be Batman. But would anybody be such a big fan of one of the actors to legally change their name? Because one man just did legally change his name to Adam West. And although he is a big fan of Adam West, it’s not because he’s a fan that he changed his name. It was just cheaper than the alternative.

Adam Armstrong changed his legal name to Adam West because that was significantly cheaper than fixing a booking error for an airline:
"Her [my girlfriend’s] stepdad got my name from Facebook but I had put it as Adam West as a joke, because he was the. Ryanair were not helpful at all. We showed them we were not trying to change the person, just the name, but they wouldn’t back down. Ryanair pride themselves on being a customer-centric business, it just seems like a joke when they wouldn’t change the name. I just thought it was completely ridiculous. All they needed to do was hit the backspace key on a keyboard and they want to charge me £220."
That’s about $337. It was far cheaper to simply get a new passport and legally change his name (about $157 for the passport & changing his name for free via a service called Deedpoll), so now Adam Armstrong is legally Adam West.
