Star Wars Comic Delays And New Release Dates

Bleeding Cool has been Johnny on the spot — or maybe Rich on the spot, in this case — regarding the delays to Secret Wars and its various spinoff titles. Unfortunately for readers trying to plot out their summer comic reading, it seems some of Marvel’s Star Wars comics are going to be joining them in being pushed back.

The main Star Wars title looks okay for now, but characters from both sides of the Empire-Rebellion conflict are being affected. Here’s what has been delayed and when you can look for it at your LCS:

• Darth Vader #8 – Original release date: July 15; new release date: August 5
• Darth Vader #9 – Original release date: July 22; new release date: August 19
• Darth Vader #10 – Original release date: August 19; new release date: August 26
• Star Wars: Lando #3 – Original release date: August 12; new release date: August 26
• Star Wars: Lando #4 – Original release date: August 26; new release date: September 16

It looks like online sites like Comixology have been updated with the current release dates for most if not all of the delayed Marvel comics, so you should be able to rely on them for up-to-date info as long as more books aren’t pushed back. Here’s hoping.
