With only a month to go until the premiere of Ant-Man, Marvel Studios has turned up their hype engine.  By now, it’s pretty much expected that a Marvel Cinematic Universe film trailer will have awesome visual effects and heroic moments.  So how do you curb that predictability?  Well, you bring to attention the heart of the character.  That is, Scott Lang’s everyman humor — sort of a fish out of water among larger than life heroes.

In a series of TV spots that started rolling out two weeks ago, Marvel shows that

Ant-Man

‘s attitude and tone will be more along the lines of

Guardians of the Galaxy

(2014) — making our protagonist compelling by focusing on his sarcasm and putting him in situations that are way over his head.  The third TV spot also has Scott Lang referencing the Avengers.  You know, just in case we didn’t know everything was connected.

The latest TV spot was tweeted out via Ant-Man‘s Twitter feed:

"“Yeah, I got this.” See Paul Rudd in Marvel’s #AntMan, in theaters July 17: http://t.co/SDsYoFglRx https://t.co/RIElwkZVHY— Ant-Man (@AntMan) June 15, 2015"

Set to release in the United States on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man will close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
