Not that Marvel fans won’t have enough exclusives to chase down in a few weeks at Comic-Con International, but Lego just revealed another one to put on their list. It’s an SDCC exclusive Captain America minifigure featuring Sam Wilson, the current man holding down the gig.
And proving the old cliche that the best things in life are free, you’ll have to win it instead of buy it. Lego will raffle off the minifigure July 9-11, giving away some of them each of those three days. The ticket drawings will take place at the Pavilion Terrace, which is the same location attendees need to go to try to win the chance to buy some of the company’s other exclusives — one of which is the 203-piece Throne of Ultron set from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Though Sam Wilson has been immortalized in plastic before as the Falcon, this is the first time we’ve seen him as a minifigure as Captain America. Check out USA Today, which had the exclusive reveal, to see him inside his packaging for confirmation that he does come with his trusty shield. But, um, hey Lego: what about his wings?
Good luck to everyone attempting to win Cap, because plenty of people are going to enter the daily drawings.
