By Steve Lam
Along with the massive amount of TV spots coming out before the big day, Marvel Studios has released a series of interviews and behind-the-scenes B-roll footage for Ant-Man.
The on-set interviews with the cast — Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Corey Stoll (Darren Cross), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), Michael Pena (Luis), T.I. (Dave), David Dastmalchian, Judy Greer (Maggie), Bobby Cannavale (Jim Paxton) — provide insight into each of their respective characters, while Ant-Man director Peyton Reed and producers Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum talk about the film’s development and story.
The behind-the-scenes segment is spoiler-free, but gives audiences a good idea of the various challenges the cast and crew had to face in bringing Ant-Man to life.
Set to release in the United States on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man will close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film is being directed by Peyton Reed, written by Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, and Adam McKay, and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym / Ant-Man.
