Better be ready to clear some shelf space for some more walkers before the end of the summer. Anchor Bay Entertainment announced today that the ridiculously popular AMC series The Walking Dead is bringing its most recent season to Blu-Ray and DVD in August.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Fifth Season will release on Blu-Ray and DVD on August 25, right around the time we’re expecting the companion series, Fear the Walking Dead, to premiere on AMC. The Blu-ray set also includes Digital HD copies of all 16 episodes from Season 5 and will sell for a suggested $79.99, while the DVD edition carries a suggested retail price of $69.98.
As with previous The Walking Dead home video releases, this one will contain three hours of bonuses. Here’s what to expect:

Gimple, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer Tom Luse, Executive Producer/Special Effects Make-Up Supervisor /Director Greg Nicotero, Director Julius Ramsay; Actors Lauren Cohan, Chad L. Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Danai Gurira, Alana Masterson, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Norman Reedus, Christian Serratos and Steven Yuen.

In addition to the regular 5-disc editions, you’ll also be able to find The Walking Dead: The Complete Fifth Season Limited Edition with collectible packaging designed by McFarlane Toys. Artwork and release date info on that version has yet to be revealed.
It’s doubtful that fans of The Walking Dead need much more motivation to look for this or pre-order it now, but just in case, here’s a trailer for the home video release anyway.
