Singer Hopes To Have X-Men: Apocalypse Footage For Comic-Con
By Nick Tylwalk
Bryan Singer has been promoting the special screening of X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut that will take place during Comic-Con International in San Diego next week. That’s intriguing in its own right for fans of Marvel’s premier mutant super team, but the director might have something even more exciting up his sleeve.

Singer’s Instagram feed has been a treasure trove of X-Men: Apocalypse information since work on the movie has begun, and he even posted a picture from the set this morning that has people talking. When it comes to Comic-Con, though, it was this post (which also contains a brief trailer for the Days of Future Past Rogue Cut) that’s the big one, because of what he wrote at the bottom:
"Hey guys, join me for a screening of #RogueCut @ Gaslamp Reading Cinemas starting at 8PM on Saturday July 11th. Get there early! Here’s a tease with more to follow. #sdcc #sdcc2015 #xmen Also hoping I can bring some stuff to show you #hallh from #xmenapocalypse"
The reference he’s making is to 20th Century Fox and its mysterious Saturday evening Hall H panel, which runs from 5:45 to 7:30 pm on July 11. The studio has been tight-lipped about that it’s showing there, but Singer seems to be suggesting that he’ll have X-Men: Apocalypse footage if there’s any ready to show.
If that turns out to be the case, it will make Saturday night in Hall H even more of a can’t-miss proposition for super hero fans since Warner Bros. TV moves in right after Fox is finished. Even if Singer can’t come through with something for Comic-Con, we should begin seeing some of the fruits of his labor relatively soon, as X-Men: Apocalypse is headed to theaters on May 27, 2016.
