Batman V Superman Statues Show New Details

Let me start out by saying that these are the things that make a financially responsible individual quickly spiral into a state of compulsive spending.  Images of new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice statues from DC Entertainment are already making their rounds online.  These amazingly beautiful works of art are slated to make their debut at Comic-Con 2015.  The Batman v Superman statues themselves also reveal rarely noticed details of our heroes’ suits.

The most revealing details come from Batman’s armored suit.  It seems that the armor-plating is worn over his standard outfit.  You can see the kevlar-like material peeking out at the joint areas, and notice that a subtle outlining of his normal cowl shows a bit under the helmet.  The blunt boot spikes that mimic the ones found on his gauntlet also seem to take on a gold hue.  Whether the contrast in color is is from normal wear-and-tear is up for debate though.  But it seems that the original rumors from Latino-Review about the armored suit are pretty accurate.

The statues will be available for purchase in January 2016 at $150 each.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a United States release date of March 25, 2016.  It will be directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from a story by David Goyer and Zack Snyder, and will star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves, Holly Hunter as a United States Senator, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg, and Callan Mulvey, Scoot McNairy, and Jena Malone in unspecified roles.
