Supergirl: New Preview Video Shows Kara Enjoying Her Powers
By Nick Tylwalk
With Comic-Con 2015 right around the corner (literally a few hours away from starting Preview Night as I type this), CBS doesn’t want Supergirl to get lost in the shuffle of what’s sure to be a maelstrom of multimedia super hero news.
Thus, we have the latest promo video from the show’s official Twitter feed, which certainly looks like it could end up as a TV spot given its graphics and 30-second length. Not only does it show what might be the best way ever to show a trusted friend that you’re actually a super hero — provided said friend doesn’t have a heart condition or something — it also shows Kara reveling in the fact that she’s now able to show off her powers to the world.
Or perhaps she’s just enjoying the discovery of all her different abilities, as she’s said to be inexperienced at using them when the series begins. In that respect, Supergirl looks like it may have a tone similar to The Flash, where the title character enjoyed the fact that he was now able to do things other people couldn’t.
The Supergirl pilot will be a big part of the Warner Bros. Television/DC Entertainment panel that will close out the SDCC Hall H schedule on Saturday night. We won’t be there, so we’ll have to content ourselves with this preview along with most of the rest of you. Supergirl will make her CBS debut on Monday, October 26 at 8:30 pm.
