Comic-Con 2015: Ryan Reynolds Says Deadpool Trailer Release Is On The Way

Ryan Reynolds, the man who plays the Merc with a Mouth, took to Twitter and announced to fans that the official Deadpool trailer will be released soon.

So three weeks huh?  Sounds reasonable.  The trailer presented to lucky attendees at the Deadpool Hall H panel was quickly recorded by a guest and leaked online.  Fox, the studio behind Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Gambit, and Fantastic Four, hasn’t been too thrilled about these “illegal” footage.  However, as angry as Fox is, they have to be a little happy that fans are scouring for them and are even more excited for these films after seeing these bootlegs.

Whatever state of being unfinished the preliminary trailer was, it still received overwhelming praise.  Fans thought Reynolds perfectly embodied the wise-cracking fourth wall-breaking anti-hero and are now hungry for more.  Okay, Mr. Reynolds, we’re going to hold you to that.  Three weeks … are we there yet?

Deadpool will be released on February 12, 2016.  The film will be directed by Blur Films visual effects veteran Tim Miller, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and X-Men: Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg.  The cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Ed Skrein as Ridge, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, aka Vanessa Carlysle, and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
