Ant-Man: Composer Christophe Beck Releases Official Main Theme

Composer Christophe Beck has released the official main theme to the upcoming Ant-Man.  The music is reminiscent of heist movies from the 1960s, and also has a very quirky feel to it which complements the film’s comedic tone.

The score is definitely a departure from the epic bombastic music we’ve been hearing from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Director Peyton Reed has gone on record stating that Ant-Man will be a much more personal movie, so that probably explains why the theme doesn’t feel as grand or epic.  Nonetheless, it fits the movie perfectly and really fleshes out the personality of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang.

Set to release in the United States on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man will close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is being directed by Peyton Reed, written by Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, and Adam McKay, and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym / Ant-Man.
