Gal Gadot Talks Wonder Woman and ‘Batman v Superman’
By Skip Harvey
New cinematic Wonder Woman Gal Gadot has been relatively polarizing among fans because everyone has their own idea of what the character should be like. Many critics were silenced by seeing her in action during the Comic-Con Batman v Superman trailer, but not all. Now, at least, there’s a little less fervor surrounding the casting as we inch closer to the film.
Gadot recently sat down with Interview Magazine to do a photo shoot and talk about the role and her possible future now that we know she’ll have a solo film for sure, (we saw the animatic preview of Wonder Woman and it’s a WWII epic!).

"I told them that I wanted to be able to show the stronger side of women. I didn’t want to do the obvious role that you see in Hollywood most of the time, which is the heartbroken girl who’s waiting to be rescued by the guy, blah, blah, blah."
Well, that’s a good place to start. She goes on to echo her sentiments at the SDCC WB panel last weekend.
"I’m so excited about this role. I feel like I’ve been given a huge opportunity to inspire people, not only women. And not because of me but because of who Wonder Woman is and what she stands for. There’s a lot of responsibility. But I have the best team and the best people to work with. It’s going to be an amazing ride, knock on wood."
We sincerely hope it is. I personally can’t wait to see her slap around some Nazis and rescue Steve Trevor in her solo shot. Check out more from the photo series.
