Michael Chiklis Is Coming To Gotham

Veteran actor Michael Chiklis will be donning a badge once again for the upcoming season of Gotham.

Michael Chiklis made his name on police shows like The Commish & The Shield (though both very different roles), He will join Gotham as a no tolerance Captain named Nathaniel Barnes in a semi-regular role. Here’s the description of Captain Barnes from the producers of Gotham themselves:

"He is a law and order zealot; unafraid of making enemies – on either side of the law. For Gordon, Barnes is a hero and a mentor, someone with whom he can share the burden of heroism. Captain Barnes proves himself to be a strong ally to Gordon… but one day he will make an equally powerful enemy."

Well we already know a wealth of new villains are popping up in Gotham for season two, and corruption in the GCPD is hardly rooted out at this point. Gordon needs as many allies as he can get for the time being, even if it may cme back to haunt them later. The second season of Gotham premieres September 21st.
