Rumor: Zack Snyder’s Son May Play Robin In Batman V Superman
By Steve Lam
Straight from the site whose rumors have mostly panned out to be fact, Heroic Hollywood is hearing through the grapevine that Eli Snyder — son of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice helmer Zack Snyder — will be appearing as Jason Todd, a.k.a. the dead Robin, in the upcoming 2016 film. If this is true, it won’t be Eli Snyder’s first time being on camera. In the past, he’s appeared in two of his father’s films — as a young Leonidas in 300 (2006), and as a young Rorschach in Watchmen (2009).
Audiences watching the latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer released at Comic-Con 2015 will remember the Robin memorial scene — Robin’s suit vandalized with a taunting message to Batman — and know that Bruce Wayne has already experienced the death of a family member. Heroic Hollywood is reporting that Eli Snyder may have a flashback scene with Jared Leto’s Joker torturing him before killing him — an obvious homage to the Death in the Family storyline from the Batman comics.
Eli Snyder is currently attending Maranatha High School and plays varsity football as a star quarterback. He’s committed to attending UCLA in the fall and will major in film.
